A 41-year-old man has appeared at court charged with the murder of a 33-year-old childcare worker Grace Kissell from Linwood.
John Haugen, of Cowal Drive, was accused of striking Ms Kissell on the head and body repeatedly with a knife.
Haugen made no plea or declaration when he appeared on petition at Paisley Sheriff Court and was remanded for further examination by Sheriff Colin Pettigrew.
Grace Kissell’s body was found by police at the house in Cowal Drive, Linwood, around 2:30pm on Thursday.
