Two local Councillors are to hold a new surgery in the premises of local charity every month.
Cllr Cathy McEwan and Cllr Jim Paterson will the surgery in the premises of charity ‘Our Place Our Families’ on the 1st Fri of the month at 11:00am.
The Councillor’s will be available to discuss local issues with residents and are hoping by adding a week day surgery to their schedules, be more accessible to those who cannot attend the existing surgeries they hold.
Cllr Paterson said: “I am pleased to confirm that myself and Cllr McEwan will be offering a surgery from Our Place Our Families. I was keen when elected to make sure I was as accessible to residents as possible. When Cllr McEwan suggested we contact Diane Booth at Our Place Our Families about hosting a surgery it was exactly the type of venue I was looking for.
“Our Place Our Families provides a vital service in our community and by allowing us use of their premises will strengthen the link between constituents and their elected representatives.”
Cllr McEwan said: ” As well as other surgeries, that Councillor Jim Paterson and myself attend, I am more than happy that we are holding an extra surgery in Our Place Our Families. This gives us a further opportunity, to attend, listen, signpost, and take forward any concerns of residents within our Communities.”
