Firefighters were called to a large blaze at a housing development site in the Spateston area of Johnstone.
The blaze, at Scholars Green, the former St Cuthbert’s High School on Hallhill Road (Nr Beith Road) started early Sunday evening around 7pm.
It’s thought at least half a dozen homes have been destroyed on the site owned by Persimmon Homes.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said 15 fire fighters were in attendance and they were able to put out the blaze shortly after 10pm.
There were no casualties.
