Book fans are being given the chance to meet one of Scotland’s best-known novelists, Christopher Brookmyre, at Paisley Central Library.The event on Monday, 21st November at 7pm, is organised by Renfrewshire Leisure as part of Scottish Book Week.
Brookmyre grew up in Barrhead and has become a top author and this personal appearance is a chance to hear him talk about his books and ask questions.
The following day, Tuesday, 22nd November at 2.30pm, Johnstone Library hosts An Audience with crime writer, Clare Mackintosh. The former police officer left the force to become a journalist and author and you can hear her read excerpts from her latest novel, I See You.
On Wednesday, November 23, at 2.30pm, in Linwood Library, local community groups can enjoy a storytelling session from Ann Pitcher.
And later that day, at 7pm, author Denzil Meyrick will discuss his debut novel, Whisky From Small Glasses with local book group members, at Paisley Central Library.
The following afternoon, on Thursday, November 24, at 2.30pm, in Johnstone Library, rom-com author, Jill Mansell will read excerpts from her work and answer question on her books.
And later that day, at 3.45pm, in the same venue, young readers get the chance to meet author Paul Bristow whose book, The Superpower Project tells of two accidental superheroes and a wisecracking robot saving their town from an evil mastermind.
