Police Scotland have released a photograph showing a haul of alcohol confiscated from teenagers in Erskine last weekend.Officers said that the alcohol was taken from vulnerable teenagers which has clearly been bought by ‘ill-informed and irresponsible adults’.

A spokesperson said: “It is an offence to buy alcohol on behalf of a child. You could face a £5,000 fine and 3 months imprisonment.

“You are also directly contributing to anti-social behaviour, vandalism, graffiti, fighting and more worryingly, children going to hospital and or being arrested.

“Do the right thing and say no.”
