Three people have been arrested after a spate of housebreaking in the Stanley Area of Paisley.
Police were able to identify three people thought to be involved and after a search of properties linked to the accused, officers located stolen property which has since been returned to the rightful owners.
Inspector Tracy Harkins said “Housebreaking is a particularly nasty crime and leaves those effected feeling vulnerable within their own home.
“I am delighted with the arrest of all 3 suspects which came about after a thorough investigation carried out by both Community and Response Policing. Some of the property recovered included jewellery which had a high sentimental value to the owner”.
Two males aged 29 and 30 and a female aged 35 appeared at court earlier this week and have been remanded in custody awaiting trial.
