Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has received planning consent from East Renfrewshire Council for 106 new homes on land off Ayr Road at Maidenhill, Newton Mearns.
The 11.5 acre site was identified for housing in the East Renfrewshire Local Development Plan, and it forms part of the approved detailed planning permission currently in place for the wider Maidenhill masterplan vision.
Taylor Wimpey’s first stage of development will deliver a range of three, four and five bedroom homes from its latest Scottish house type range. Each home will have feature stone detailing and there will be a variety of styles and sizes to appeal to a wide range of customers. It will also include a feature pocket park for the enjoyment of local residents.
The company says that the development of new homes at Maidenhill, Newton Mearns represents a significant investment in the local area and a key milestone for the wider Maidenhill masterplan as work progresses to make the vision to create a new community a reality.
As well as creating a significant residential development of new homes, this parcel of development will also contribute to a range of wider community benefits through a Section 75 Agreement with East Renfrewshire Council, which will include contributions towards education.
