The owner of an independent beauty business in Paisley has been named Best Brow Artist at the Scottish Hair & Beauty Awards (SHABA) 2026.
Adrianna Sliwinska, who owns Crystal Beauty, won the category after being shortlisted alongside beauty professionals from across Scotland.
She began her career through makeup and beauty therapy before establishing Crystal Beauty, where she specialises in brows, lashes and makeup.
Adrianna said: “Winning Best Brow Artist is something I have dreamed about, but standing on that stage meant much more to me than simply receiving an award. It made me think about how far I have come, how much I have learned and how many times I had to believe in myself even when I wasn’t completely confident in my own abilities.”
Her work focuses on personalised, natural-looking results. She continues to develop her skills through further training and industry experience.
“I’m incredibly proud to bring this award back to Paisley,” Adrianna said. “I have built my business here and I am grateful to every client who has trusted me, supported my work and allowed me to grow. This award is not just a personal achievement – it is also a reminder of what can be achieved by a small local business with passion, consistency and hard work.”
Adrianna said the achievement was particularly meaningful because English is her second language. Building a professional career in Scotland has involved overcoming challenges beyond learning the skills of her profession.
She said: “I moved forward step by step, learning not only the technical side of my profession but also how to believe in myself. There were times when I questioned whether I was good enough, but I kept going. Being recognised at this level is something I will always be proud of.”
She hopes her story will encourage other aspiring beauty professionals and local small business owners to continue pursuing their goals.
