The University of the West of Scotland LGBT+ society (UWS LGBT+) is hosting a drag night in November.
The society ran a very successful drag night in February, donating the profits to the Albert Kennedy Trust. All profits will go to the Albert Kennedy Trust, a charity that gives support and advice to homeless LGBT+ youth, which is something the society feels very strongly about.
The UWS LGBT+ has received support from many businesses in the form of donations for Freshers stalls and raffle prizes for a draw that will take place on the night of the drag event.
These businesses include: Tim Hortons, Abigail Rose: Makeup and Beauty, Malatso, Enterprise, Stobbs the Baker, Tiers of Joy, Burger & Keg, Peignoir, Soho Salon, Out of the Blue with Lee, Comicrazy, Musclebound, Maxx Clean.
There will also be an opportunity for the audience to get involved in a Lip Sync competition.
The society already has an incredible lineup of local drag acts such as Shame Lizz, Amy Triptyline, Ana Lovette, Genacyde and Skinnie Minnie.
The event is open to all UWS students and students of Scottish universities or colleges who are 18+. The event, Education Hell will be held on Friday 8th November at the UWS Paisley Students’ Union at 7pm. Tickets can be bought through society members, the student union, or online at https://sauwslgbtplus.wordpress.com.
