Residents of Foxbar and Brediland are being encouraged to join a new community council representing both areas.
Nominations are now being received for membership of Foxbar and Brediland Community Council.
The nomination period runs until Friday 29th May 2015.

Renfrewshire is split into 25 community council areas with each community council representing all the residents who live within its area.
Community council members must be 16 or older, registered to vote and resident with the community council boundary.
Renfrewshire Council Leader Mark Macmillan said: “Community councils are there to raise concerns on behalf of local people. They are the first statutory level of democracy in our country and an important voice for their area.
“It’s great that civic-minded residents of Foxbar and Brediland have got together to revive their community council. I would encourage anyone living in the area to find out more about its activities and consider whether they might want to become a member.”
