Police officers from Johnstone have seized a quantity of drugs from a broken down vehicle on Tuesday.
Around 9.05pm officers on patrol went to the assistance of a broken down vehicle on the A737 near to Barrochan Interchange when they discovered a quantity of herbal cannabis, worth an estimated street value of £50,000, within the vehicle.
A 32 year old man has been arrested and is presently detained in police custody in connection with the seizure.
A report will be prepared for the Procurator Fiscal.
