Police Scotland officers are and appealing for information after a robbery which took place on Love Street in Paisley on Saturday 18th July 2015.
Around 3:50pm, a 37 year-old man was sitting on a bench when he was approached by three men who assaulted the man and robbed him of his mobile phone before separating and making off towards Blysthwood Drive and Wallace Street.
The man was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital where he was released after receiving treatment.
The first suspect is described as a white local man, 18-30 years old, around 6 foot tall, with neck length dark hair which is described as greasy. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a light blue tracksuit top and blue jeans.
The second suspect is described as a white local man, 20-30 years old, around 6 foot tall, with short fair hair which is described as dirty. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a light grey or blue hooded top, light blue jeans and a light coloured t-shirt which is described as blood stained.
There is no accurate description of the third suspect at this time but it is also possible that one of the suspects was wearing a black baseball cap at the time of the robbery.
Detective Constable Chris Nedley of Paisley Police Office said today: “We are currently carrying out enquiries into this incident and gathering CCTV in an effort to gain further information on this incident and the men responsible.
“At this time I would urge anyone who was in the area of Love Street at the time of incident, who may have witnessed something suspicious, to please get in contact.
“Our enquiries are ongoing and we are analysing available CCTV and conducting door to door enquiries, however, given the time of day at which the incident took place we are hoping there may be more witnesses who have yet to come forward.”
