Detectives at Paisley are appealing for information after a 28 year-old man was seriously assaulted in the Seedhill area of Paisley on Wednesday.
A 28 year-old man was on his way home and walking in Violet Street near to its junction with Lang Street, when he was approached by five men who went on to seriously assault him then ran off.
The injured man was taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley where he was treated for a head injury then later released.
The only description of the five men available at this time is that they were all white and were wearing dark-coloured clothing.
The incident happen around 10.10pm on Wednesday 23 September 2015
Detective Constable Michael Allan of Paisley Police Office is appealing for information. He said “This appears to be a totally unprovoked attack on this man as he was making his way home from the local shops.
“I would ask anyone who witnessed this incident take place, or anyone with information that may assist police enquiries to contact Police Scotland on 101. Alternatively CRIMESTOPPERS can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
