Police are appealing for information after four dogs were stolen from a property in Renfrew on Sunday 3rd January 2016.

Three Lakeland Terriers and one Lurcher were within a back garden in Kiklandneuk Road, Renfrew.

However, between 6pm and 10.45pm the dogs were taken from the back garden.

One of the Lakeland Terriers is a champion dog and the owner has just started showing the other three dogs as well as using them for hunting.

Each of the animals is valued at between £400 and £600.




Enquiries so far have revealed that a silver coloured van was seen in the area and officers are appealing to anyone who may have seen this van or who may have any knowledge as to why it was there to get in touch.

The owner of the dogs is extremely upset at having them stolen and would just like to see them returned safe and well.

They are described as a five-month-old Lakeland terrier with a distinctive black stripe running from his eyes to his nose, a six-year-old Lakeland terrier with scarring on his nose, an 18-month-old Lakeland terrier and a four-year-old Lurcher which has recently received medical treatment for her injured left hind leg.

Police in Renfrew are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything or who may have any information which could assist in this inquiry to contact them on the non-emergency number, 101.
