Councillor Andy Doig has been reinstated by the SNP after his suspension expired.
He has rejoined the SNP group on Renfrewshire Council and has already resumed carrying out his other duties.
On Saturday he posed for a group photograph with Tom Arthur, who is standing for Renfrewshire South in May alongside East Renfrewshire MP Kirsten Oswald and Paisley MP Gavin Newlands.
An SNP spokesman said: “Cllr Doig’s suspension from the SNP expired on 3rd January, so he rejoins the SNP Group on Renfrewshire Council and can resume activity for his local branch.”
