Detectives at Paisley are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously assaulted on Saturday 14th May 2016.

The attack happened around 9.30pm on Saturday night police were called to a report of a disturbance in Espedair Street in Paisley where a 26 year-old man was injured.

The injured man was taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley where he was released after treatment for an arm injury.

Detective Sergeant Ross MacDonald at Paisley Police Office said: “Police enquiries are continuing and officers are carrying out enquiries in the area and studying CCTV footage in an effort to gather more information on this attack and those involved.

“I would ask anyone who was in the area of Espedair Street around the time of the incident last night who witnessed the disturbance take place, or who has information that may assist our investigation to contact us.”
