Police officers from Paisley carried out a two day intelligence-led operation and searched 10 properties in the Ferguslie Park area of Paisley using warrants in an attempt to help disrupt those involved in supplying illegal drugs.

The two day operation kicked off a two-month long multi agency action plan and during this time, officers working in the Fergulsie Park area, will be on hand to provide regular advice and guidance to local residents around specific issues such as personal safety, internet safety, antisocial behavior and water safety.

The two-day drugs operation on Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th May resulted in a quantity of controlled drugs believed to be Heroin, Cocaine, Cannabis and Diazepam, with an estimated street value of thirteen hundred pound (£1300) being seized from the properties.

Eleven men aged between 22 and 51 years and a woman aged 53 years will all be subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with alleged drugs offences. A 37-year-old man will also be reported in connection with the Electricity Act.

Detective Inspector Suzie Chow based at Paisley CID said: “We have teams of dedicated officers working in our communities every day, executing warrants and targeting drug dealers

” These latest seizures and arrests demonstrate that we will continue to act on information and pursue those involved in any form of drug dealing which causes misery and damage to our communities.
