Detectives are appealing for information after a 29-year-old man was found injured in Linwood this morning.
Police were called to a house in Bridge of Weir Road where a man was found with stab wounds.
He was taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, where he is being treated for the stab wounds. Hospital staff describe his condition as serious.
It’s believe the stabbing happened around 3.20am this morning (Tuesday 23rd August 2016).
The incident is being treated as attempted murder.
Detective Sergeant Michael Lochrie said: “Our enquiries are at an early stage to establish more information on the circumstances surrounding this incident, and to establish where it took place in the local area.
“At this time, I would urge anyone who was in the area of Bridge of Weir Road in Linwood in the early hours of Tuesday morning, who witnessed anything suspicious, or who has information that may assist police enquiries to contact Paisley Police Office through 101.
