Detectives at Paisley are are appealing for information after an attempted murder in Paisley on Saturday.
A 39-year-old man was walking on Forbes Place, near to its junction with Causeyside Street around 8.25pm in Paisley on Saturday 24th September 2016, when he was involved in an altercation with a group who then assaulted him.
The injured man was taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley where he is being treated for head injuries. Hospital have described his condition as serious.
Detective Inspector Tom Carty of Paisley Police Office said: “Enquiries are ongoing at this time to gather more information on the circumstances surrounding this incident and those responsible.
“At this time I would urge anyone who witnessed the attack take place, or who has any information that may assist the police investigation to contact Paisley Police Office through 101.
