Police at Paisley are are investigating the assault of a man in the Ferguslie Park area of Paisley on Monday.
The incident happened around 1.50pm on Monday 3rd October, a 52-year-old man was within his home in Candren Road, Ferguslie Park, Paisley when three or four masked men forced their way into the house and began assaulting him.
The 52-year-old man managed to escape from the house and was followed by the men who again attacked him. The injured man then managed to make his way to a friend’s house nearby and call emergency services. He was then taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley where he is being treated for his injuries. Hospital staff describe his condition as stable.
Detective Inspector Sandy Nelson at Paisley CID said: “We are still trying to establish a motive for this violent attack and are carrying out door to door enquiries in an attempt to gain further information.
“I’d like to speak to anyone who saw the group of masked men in the Candren Road area around the time that the incident took place on Monday afternoon.“
