A Paisley charity has been giving a £2,000 cash boost.
STAR Project Paisley, who works with people in deprived areas, was awarded the funds from the STV Children’s Appeal.
The charity who is based in Wallace Street, Paisley have a hard working team who supports individuals and families within the North Paisley community with projects like drop-ins and their weekly Wee STARs toddler group.
STV employees attended the Wee STARs Christmas party to present the cheque to the STAR project, and met with some of the children and adults who will benefit from the funding.
Sharon McAulay, project manager at STAR Project said: “The summer holidays are often a difficult time for lots of parents, more so for families struggling with other issues as well.
“We aim to ease this where possible and the £2,000 grant will enable us to provide subsidised family trips and access to creative activities, giving at least 100 parents and children the opportunity to share experiences and make memories together.”
