A dance group from Renfrew have scooped a prize of £2,000 after winning a contest open to local youth groups.
Jazzle Dazzle, came first after submitting a video of them performing a routine to ‘I Want Candy’ and gained a 1527 votes to win.

The dance competition titled ‘Gear Up for Sport Skills Challenge’ was created by motoring firm Arnold Clark
After a month of entries and voting on their website, Jazzle Dazzle picked up the grand prize at Arnold Clark’s Head Office in Hillington.
Jazzle Dazzle is a school of dancing based in various halls throughout Renfrew. It offers competitive disciplines in cheer-pom, cheer, hip-hop and jazz for various ages. When they’re not training for competitions, practicing for their annual display or spreading cheer at gala days, the squad are fundraising hard for the Future Cheer Brings It On event in Paris next year.
The competition will see cheer teams from all over Europe compete at the the Disneyland Paris resort in front of an international crowd. If their fundraising target is met, it looks set to be a memorable trip for the Jazzle Dazzle dancers.
Managing Director Eddie Hawthorne said: “I’m delighted to present Jazzle Dazzle with their £2000 grand prize and would like to congratulate them on their fantastic skills challenge submission video. Our Gear Up For Sport initiative enjoyed another hugely successful year and we’re really proud to have supported over 100 grassroots sport teams.”
Head coach at Jazzle Dazzle Jackie Bryceland said, “We’re overwhelmed! We can’t thank everyone enough for showing their support in the competition – liking and sharing our video and encouraging others to do the same. This prize will help us take our students to compete in Disneyland Paris, which is an opportunity of a lifetime.”
