Police are searching for a man and appealing for witnesses after a woman was robbed in Paisley on Friday.
The robbery happened around 1030 hours on Friday morning (16/12/16), the 41-year-old woman was making her way along Carriagehill Drive, near to its junction with Carriagehill Avenue in Paisley when she was approached by a man. He then stole her small suitcase containing computer equipment and made off in the direction of Mary Street.
The woman was uninjured, but badly shaken as a result of the robbery.
The man responsible is described as white, 20–30 years of age, around 5 ft 9 inches in height and of stocky build. He was wearing a dark coloured parka-style jacket with fur around the hood, black tracksuit trousers and brown work boots.
Detective Sergeant Ian Ross of Paisley Police Office is appealing for information, he said: “We’ve been carrying out enquiries in the local area and are studying CCTV footage in an effort to identify the man responsible for this robbery.
“I would urge anyone who witnessed the robbery take place, or saw a man matching the description in the local area around the time of the incident to come forward to police.”
