A man has been arrested in Paisley by the Organised Crime and Counter Terrorism Police Unit after a four year operation.
The 46-year-old man was arrested in connection with alleged serious and organised crime, alleged drug supply and alleged money laundering offences.
It follows a four year long police operation, which concluded on Wednesday 16th August 2017, when officers arrested the man in the Paisley area.
Detective Superintendent Stephen Grant from Police Scotland’s Organised Crime and Counter Terrorism Unit (West) said: “This week’s activity marks the culmination of an extensive police operation targeting those engaging in serious and organised crime in the west of Scotland.
“Police Scotland will not tolerate this type of criminal behaviour, which can destroy communities, and will continue to focus on putting a stop to these activities.
“Anyone with information about serious and organised criminal activity in their area is urged to contact their local police station via 101. Alternatively you can call CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111 where details can be given in confidence.”
He is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Thursday.
