Two men have been arrested in connection with alleged drugs offences in join operation in Glasgow and Paisley following an intelligence-led operation by officers from the Greater Glasgow Serious and Organised Crime Unit.
At around 3.15pm on Wednesday 20th September 2017, officers stopped a vehicle in Argyle Street, near Anderston, and conducted a search of the car.
Officers recovered approximately 60 kilos of cannabis resin. A 49-year-old man has been arrested and is presently detained in police custody in connection with the seizure.
Following the arrests, a further operation was carried out in Paisley where Police used a warrent to search a property in North Street and recovered approximately 115 kilos of cannabis resin.
A 39-year-old man has been arrested and is presently detained in police custody.
Police confirmed that the drugs seized have an estimated street value of approximately £497,000.
The 49-year-old man is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today and the 39-year-old is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on tomorrow.
