The reconstruction of an underground pumping station in Renfrew has gained further recognition after being shortlisted for a national award.
Scottish Water Solutions commissioned Morrison Construction to work on a new sewerage pumping station at Provost Driver Court after ground settlement forced a pipe to burst deep underground putting properties in the area at risk.
The team from Morrison Construction that had the complex task of constructing a new sewerage pumping station while consolidating the ground structure has been shortlisted for the GO Awards Scotland 2017/18.
The project is a finalist in the Infrastructure Project of the Year Award category with the winners to be announced at a ceremony on 25 October at the Marriott Hotel in Glasgow.
Previously, the Renfrew project has been recognised by winning UK Project with a Geotechnical Value up to £1 million at the Ground Engineering Awards in July.
Morrison Construction is shortlisted in a total of three categories at the awards, which celebrate excellence in public procurement.
