Villagers from across Renfrewshire turned out in amazing fancy dress costumes to have fun at 2 Blue Coral Events Parties.
The afternoon Phantasmagorical Pumpkin Party saw more than 60 kids do Halloween craft making with Paint Pot Tots, an animal show, dance with a DJ Stuart Ritchie and play loads of games including Dooking for Apples, Monster Mash, the Donut String Game, Toilet Roll Mummy, and Halloween Limbo.
There was also a Candy Bar with loads of sweet treats and a Pumpkin Patch Store with Silver, Gold and White Pumpkins.
Additionally there were prizes for Best Dressed Boy and Girl, and for those brave enough to take part, an animal handling session that included a corn snake, tarantula, cockroach, giant African snails, plus a fluffy bunny and Simon the duck for the not so very brave!
Local mum Carole Logan commented “What an amazing event. The kids have all had a brilliant time, this was really well organised”.
Then at 6:30pm the doors of the same Village Hall opened once again for Blue Coral’s evening family disco.
More than 100 ghouls and ghost families turned up raring to party the night away.
Costumes ranged from Where’s Wally? to Cruella de Ville, Fred Flintstone, Star Wars favourites and former St Mirren legend Steven Thomson and his wife turned up as Danny Zucko and Sandy from Grease.
The night was a huge success with one partygoer saying “This is just brilliant! When is the next one happening?”
Blue Coral Events are Nicola Steele from Houston and Gaynor Day, Bridge of Weir. Gaynor said, “We absolutely love putting on events within our own local community. The turnout was brilliant and the effort people went to with their costumes was incredible.
The best part for us without a doubt is seeing the enjoyment on all the children’s faces. A massive thank you to everyone that came along to either one or both of our events.
