Police Scotland are encouraging supporters attending the St Mirren v Morton game on Saturday at St Mirren’s Paisley 2021 Stadium to enjoy themselves and to do so responsibly.
Support will be in place for both St Mirren and Morton football clubs to ensure the experience is a safe and enjoyable before, during and after the game.
Match Commander Chief Inspector Alison Kennedy said: “Please come along and enjoy the game, I would like to remind the minority of fans who drink to excess and cause disorder that their actions will not be tolerated by Police Scotland or the Football Clubs. We will be working closely with stewards, and supporters who come to the ground drunk will not be permitted entry to the stadium and can be arrested.
“I would also urge supporters to attend the stadium in plenty of time to avoid large queues at the turnstiles.”
