Police are asking members of the Public in Linwood to report any suspicious behaviour after reports of a prowler in the area.

Yesterday morning, at around 7am, a 57-year-old dog walker reported a prowler in the woodland area near to the ON-X Sport Centre in Linwood.

He has been described as slim, 5’8, dark bushy hair wearing a bottle green hoody with gold writing & blue jeans in the wooded area, known locally as Moss End.

Police Scotland have confirmed that “no crime has been established at this time.” A spokesperson said: “Please call the Police immediately if you see anyone acting suspiciously in this area.

“Please don’t delay in reporting.”

This comes on the back of a series of worrying incidents in Linwood.

On 16th April, a 52-year-old dog walker was assaulted in the same area, on 21st April, a 14-year-old girl was subjected to a serious sexual assault after she was separated from her friends at a woodland area close to the ON-X Sports Centre around 9.45pm.

Then on 9th May, a man jumped out of bushes in front of a 50-year-old female dog walker near Moss Road.
