Police have arrested seven people during a drugs raid in Erskine.
Officers later released five and charged two men.
The raid was part of an extensive intelligence led policing operation where officers searched two houses in the Mains Hill area of Erskine with a warrant around 10pm last night. As a result, seven people, four men aged 54, 29, 27 and 21 and three women aged 53, 25 and 23 were arrested in relation to the alleged supply of drugs.
Two of the men, aged 27 and 21, have now been charged with alleged drugs offences and are expected to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday.
The five others have been released without charge. The enquiry is still live and ongoing.
Detective Inspector John Stewart of Renfrewshire Division’s Serious and Organised Crime Team said: “We are committed to pursuing those who supply drugs within our communities.
“I would like to thank those members of the community who have assisted with this investigation, without your help, my team could not have brought this operation to a successful conclusion”.
