Police Scotland have recovered a quantity of heroin and cocaine with a street value of £1200 from a number of homes in Renfrewshire.

Officers said they searched three houses in Gallowhill, Foxbar and Johnstone under a search warrant after an intelligence led operation.

The homes were raided at around 11am on Wednesday 4th July 2018.

Police confirmed they recovered a number of controlled drugs, believed to be heroin and cocaine, with an estimated street value of £1200 along with a four figure sum of money.

Four people, two men aged 33 and 25 years and two women aged 48 and 19 years, have been arrested and charged in connection with alleged drugs offences. They appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court today.

A further 25 year old man will be subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal regarding alleged drugs offences.

Detective Constable Chris Nedley of Renfrewshire Division’s Serious and Organised Crime Team, said: “We are committed to tackling those involved in the supply of illicit drugs and organised crime within our communities.

“I would like to thank those members of the community who have assisted with this investigation. Without your help, our team could not have achieved this”.
