The Advocacy Project are hosting an open day event called ‘We Need To Talk About Advocacy’ on Friday.
There will be focus groups for service users/referrers as well as a feedback booth for those who want to give thoughts on the service and organisation.
It is a drop in session and visitors can come along at anytime.
The Advocacy Project is a human rights based organisation that supports people to have their voices heard and be empowered to be involved in decisions that affect their lives.
Their issue-based advocacy services are free and confidential and are independent of social work, NHS and other agencies.
On the day, the group will give some insight into the role of advocacy and an idea of what a typical day entails.
Refreshments will be provided.
This event is in Glasgow. Cumbrae House, 15 Carlton Court, Glasgow, G5 9JP on Friday 17th August between 1pm and 4pm.
