Fresh off the back of its successful summer Fest! involving almost 2,000 young people and resulting in 44 productions in just 6 weeks, PACE Youth Theatre is delighted to launch its newest programme of year-round workshops.
This latest term will reflect some exciting improvements including a new structure designed to follow a clear path of progression, new class names and an expanded age range, now catering for up to age 21 years, which was previously 18-years-old.
PACE Youth Theatre offers year-round term-time workshops for ages 3-21, which are run by PACE’s team of drama, technical and musical staff. Workshops follow our unique new youth theatre programme, devised to increase confidence, communication, self-expression and performance skills, as well as being a great way to meet new friends and have lots of fun!
The programme also features a new strand of Masterclasses called PACEPlus, creating additional opportunities for young people to learn from a range of invited artists through a variety of theatre specialisms.
Artistic Director, Jenni Mason, who took up post in March said: “It’s very exciting to be able to share our new programme, which myself and the team have been working hard to review and refresh for the coming year. Our weekly workshops are absolutely at the core of what we do here at PACE and it’s such a privilege to see so many young people grow in confidence, find their voice, develop collaboration skills, learn to lead, form lifelong friendships and believe that what they have to say matters.”
This coincides with a makeover for the Company, who have also revealed new branding this week. A suite of new logos for each strand of PACE’s work was introduced on the Company’s website and social media platforms, and will be rolled out elsewhere over the coming weeks.
Past members of PACE Youth Theatre include actor James McAvoy, singer Paulo Nutini, Cinderella star Richard Madden, Love and Marriage star James McArdle, River City actress Keira Luccesi, Sunshine on Leith star Kevin Guthrie, Mark Rowley of The Last Kingdom.
