There is just over a month to go until this years ‘Into Film Festival’ returns to Scotland.
Run by film education charity ‘Into Film’, the Festival is the largest of its kind in the world and will enter its sixth year.
There’ll be several events in Renfrewshire this November at the Showcase Cinema, screenings include:
- Marvel blockbuster Black Panther on Tuesday 13th November 2018.
- An autism friendly screening of mystical adventure animation Mary and the Witch’s Flower on Monday 12th November 2018.
- And young adult thriller The Maze Runner: The Death Cure on Friday 9th November 2018.
Over 40,000 people attended Into Film Festival events in Scotland last year, and there are over 70,000 spaces available at this year’s Festival between 7th until 23rd November 2018. Every screening is free to attend for schools and youth groups, and bookings are open now.
The Festival’s programme is split into strands, which this year include Year of the Woman, highlighting films with a woman director and/or screenwriter; Mental Wellbeing, featuring films that open up discussion around young people’s mental health and Saving the World, featuring stories of environmental activism, political issues and superheroes.
