A new project has been setup to provide winter parcels to those in Renfrewshire who may be facing poverty through no fault of their own.

Created by Amanda Macdonald and her partner Jade Lochhead, ‘Renfrewshire Helping Those in Need’ will collect unwanted clothing, shoes and toys and create tailored parcels to hand out to families near Christmas time.

Amanda, said: “The aim of our project is to collect donations old or new that are still in good condition to be made into parcels for families in need this Winter. We are in contact with various charities and groups who assist families in need and people who require a parcel will be identified.

“If you wish to donate items or money to help in any way those who are in need, please message myself or Jade Lochhead and we will arrange pick up. There is no limit to items we require, however large or small your donation it is truly appreciated.”

Amanda, added: “This would be an amazing way to stop end of line clothing being thrown in trash when so many families could hugely benefit from your help.”
