Bags of plant and roots, which appear to be from Cannabis plants, have been found dumped in a street in Paisley.
The unusual find was discovered by a passer by at the bottom of Clavering Street in Paisley’s West End.
There were 12 black plastic bags in total containing two cut down marijuana plants with roots and soil. Marijuana leafs could be seen sticking through the top, still attached to the stalk, there was a pungent aroma coming from the bags.
A local resident, who did not want to be named, said: “Paisley, like the Ferguslie Park community have long taken steps to clean up fly tipping yet their biggest problem is dealing with asbestos and the ever growing piles of tyres no one seems to want and the costs make it impossible to dispose of.
“Yet here we have a bio friendly plant being fly tipped in a public area. Who dumps Marijuana plants in the street?”
Renfrewshire News contacted Paisley Police office and informed them about the discovery.
