Police have seized suspected drugs thought to be Cocaine with an estimated street value of £1.5 million from an Industrial Estate in Hillington.

The raid happened at around 7.20pm on Saturday involving officers from the Organised Crime and Counter Terrorism Unit. They searched a business premises at Carlyle Avenue in Hillington Industrial Estate and recovered a quantity of drugs, believed to be Cocaine, with an estimated street value one and a half million pounds.

Four men aged 36, 39, 44 and 55 years have been arrested and charged in connection with this recovery and appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday.

Detective Superintendent Stephen Grant from the Organised Crime and Counter Terrorism said: “This very significant seizure reinforces our commitment to disrupting those criminals who are involved in the supply of controlled drugs. It ensures that one and a half million pounds of Cocaine will not be distributed to our local communities and it will have a huge impact on disrupting drug activity and supply.

“We will continue to target criminality, makes seizures and rid communities of illegal drugs.”
