Bluebells were everywhere when members of Paisley & District University of the Third Age (U3A) architecture group enjoyed a seasonal walk in Formakin estate near Bishopton.
The tour party learned from leader Duncan MacIntosh just how Formakin House, a 20th century mansion, was designed by architect Robert Lorimer. The visit ended with a picnic in the gardens of the grounds.
The next day trip, open to all U3A members, will be a visit to the Isle of Bute’s magnificent gothic Mount Stuart House and gardens on Thursday 15th August.
Paisley & District U3A also holds monthly meetings, more information on events can be found at https://u3asites.org.uk/paisley.
