Police are made an appeal for information after a woman was assaulted in Paisley.

A member of the public reported seeing a man punch a woman in the face as the two were walking along Corsebar Drive, heading towards Stainley Road, Paisley at around 8pm.

The woman appears to have sustained an injury to her face as a result of the attack.

Police attended the incident, however, neither the man nor the woman were seen in the area.
