Police have launched an urgent appeal to trace a woman who witnessed an alleged assault, between a man and woman in Paisley yesterday.

A man is thought to have been shouting and swearing at a woman before allegedly grabbing her by the hair and pulling her towards him. A female passer intervened by shouting at the man.

The incident happened in Weavers Terrace at 4.30pm on Tuesday 20th August 2019.

The female victim was pushing a pram at the time of the alleged incident.

Police Scotland, said: “Police would like to speak to the woman and anyone else who may have witnessed this alleged attack. Anyone with information please contact 101 quoting incident number 2327 of 20th August.”
