The Manorview Hotels & Leisure Group have recognised and rewarded loyalty by hosting an evening of celebration for their team.
The Group employs over 500 people, and those with a ‘long service’ of five years and over, have clocked up approximately 900 years of Manorview service between them.
A night of celebration was held at the Group’s Boclair House Hotel in Bearsden, Glasgow, which was attended by 130 people. They were treated to an evening of dinner, cooked by Boclair Head Chef, Robert Dobbs, drinks, entertainment and dancing. The night was hosted by the Group’s Chairman and founder, Steve Graham. Everyone who attended also received a thank you gift of a spa pamper day for two people at the Group’s AURA Spa at Bowfield Hotel & Country Club in Howwood, Johnstone.

The Manorview Hotels & Leisure Group formed in 2007 with the purchase of the Commercial Hotel in Wishaw, Lanarkshire. The Group’s portfolio now includes eight hotels, two pubs, two nightclubs, a leisure club and luxury spa.
The Group’s workforce also includes many people who have been employed by Manorview from the first day of the company’s inception in 2007.
Adele Montgomery, the General Manager of the Commercial Hotel in Wishaw, was the Group’s first employee. When Steve Graham, the founder of the Group took over the Lanarkshire venue in 2007, Adele already worked there. She has over 30 years’ experience in the trade and has already been inducted into the Hall of Fame by receiving industry awards from The Dram. Now as part of the Manorview team, she says the last twelve years has been where she has learned the most.
Having experienced team members such as Adele is a great asset for new recruits entering the industry and what may be their first job.
Adele said, “Hospitality is a great trade for young people which does have career opportunities. I’ve seen a lot of change, especially with the advent of social media, which is now an important part of our business. Some things don’t change though – such as how we’re a real community hub and always here for our customers. It’s a great industry to be part of”.
