Police Scotland are appealing for information following a disturbance in the Shortroads area of Paisley on Monday.
The incident happened around 2.30pm in the Mirin Wynd area of the town.
Officers attended but there was no one there and no reports of anyone having been injured.
Inspector Paul Connelly said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing to anyone who saw anything to come forward.
“If you can help with our investigation please call us on 101, quoting incident number 2019 of Monday, 10 July, 2023, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
