Saturday’s game was a close-run match with neither side being at their best.
Livingston were first to threaten when a header from Nottingham came back off the crossbar. However, it was St Mirren who took the lead when a fine pass found Kiltie who broke into the box and crossed the ball which found its way into the net via Livingston’s Kelly.
Saints Johan Ayunga playing his 1st game since January, due to injury hit the bar with a header, Livingston did find the net again late in the 2nd half but again it was their own net and the goal was disallowed by VAR.
The game finished 1 – 0 to St Mirren, the Buddies returned to winning ways, a result which keeps them in third place in the league.
Sean Kelly’s first-half own goal means bottom club Livingston stay at the bottom of the table with a sixth straight defeat.
