A Johnstone restaurant has raised £5,532 to support relief efforts in Nepal.
Dé Buddha Authentic Nepalese Restaurant & Bar opened specially on Monday 14th September and donated the day’s sales to the Nepal Relief Fund.
The restaurant initially announced that £4,923 had been raised. Further donations increased the final total to £5,532.
The restaurant said: “We thought we were finished at £4,923… but thanks to some additional donations, our final total has reached an incredible £5,532.
“We are genuinely so grateful to every single person who dined with us, donated, shared our posts or simply helped spread the word. What an amazing response from our community.
“We’ll be sending the full contribution to support the Nepal relief efforts before the end of this week.
“From Rabi and all of us at De Buddha, thank you for helping us do something that means so much to us.
“£5,532 — raised together.”
