It’s time for a day of tropical fun at this year’s Renfrew Gala Day.

Held at Robertson Park on Sunday 1st June, the Hawaiian themed celebration promises an exciting array of activities for all the family including a funfair, inflatables, face painting and more.

To kick-start the day, a parade will set off from Trinity High School at 12 noon. The parade will travel to Robertson Park via Renfrew High Street and will feature a selection of local community groups.

In the park there’ll be plenty to keep everyone busy with football activities from Street Stuff and rugby taster sessions from Bishopton Rugby Club. The funfair is back for thrill seekers young and old, and there will be a selection of inflatables provided by local Renfrew company Ally Bally’s Bouncy Castles.

No gala day is complete without stalls, and we’ll be showcasing the best of the area with stalls from local traders, community groups and charities.

The McMaster Centre tearoom will be open on the day and will be serving cakes and a selection of drinks.

Local musicians and dancers will provide live entertainment throughout the day with the live stage programmed by local music school, Fitzpatrick Academy of Music, and supported by Erskine Arts.

The Scottish BMX School will be offering BMX workshops in the park and local dance school Karen E. Moir Dance and Drama will be running workshops in cheerleading, lyrical dance and hip hop. Visit www.renfrewshire.gov.uk/renfrew-gala-day to book.

Public transport to the park is available with a number of bus stops conveniently located around Robertson Park on Inchinnan Road and Paisley Road.
