Quality Radio recently hosted an awards event at The Wynd Centre in Paisley to celebrate members of the community radio service serving Paisley and Renfrewshire.

At the event, Hugh Lindsay from Renfrew received an award for his excellent work on the Hospital Request Show. This show, produced by Hugh, is broadcast from the Royal Alexandra Hospital Paisley on Quality Radio 107.5 FM.

During Volunteers Week 2025, Quality Radio Trustee Norman Ross presented Hugh with a Recognition Award from the National Hospital Broadcasting Association. Ross explained, “Hugh deserves this award because he connects with the audience through his enthusiasm, energy, and genuine personality during his visits to the hospital.”

Every Sunday at 3pm, Hugh hosts a programme featuring song requests, conversation, news, and messages exchanged between patients at the Royal Alexandra Hospital Paisley and their family and friends.

The show airs on 107.5 FM in Paisley and Renfrewshire, on DAB radio in Glasgow, and is also available online, via smart speakers, and through the Listen Anytime service on www.qualityradio.uk.

Quality Radio operates as a licensed community radio station based in Paisley and is a registered charity with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR).
