A two-vehicle collision in Lochwinnoch has left one woman in hospital and another facing charges.

Emergency services were called to the Shields area of Lochwinnoch at around 8.30am on Tuesday 22nd July, 2025 following reports of a crash involving two cars.

A 63-year-old woman was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment. A 33-year-old woman was charged with a road traffic offence.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.30am on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, we received a report of a crash involving two vehicles in the area of Shields, Lochwinnoch.

“Emergency services attended, and a 63-year-old woman was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

“A 33-year-old woman was charged in connection with a road traffic offence.

“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
