Man assaulted by two attackers in Paisley park

Police Scotland are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in Paisley.

The incident happened between 7pm and 7.30pm on Tuesday, 12 August, 2025. A 35-year-old man was walking near Glencoats Lodge on Blackstoun Road when two men got out of a white van and attacked him in the nearby Privies Park area.

A passer-by came to his aid, and he later attended the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

The first suspect is described as around 6ft tall, of stocky build, wearing a dark-coloured top, grey tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.
The second suspect is described as around 5ft 8in tall, of slimmer build, wearing an orange high-visibility top, grey bottoms and black trainers.

Both men left the scene in the white van.

Detective Constable Rebecca Daily said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I am appealing for the help of the public.

“I would ask anyone who witnessed the incident and who hasn’t already spoken to police to contact us.

“I would also ask anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have dash cam or private CCTV footage which could assist to get in touch.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 1752 of 14 August, 2025.”
