Three Renfrewshire restaurants scoop national food awards

Three Renfrewshire venues have been named among the winners at the Food Awards Scotland 2025, which took place on Monday night at the Doubletree by Hilton Glasgow Central.

Dé Buddha Authentic Nepalese Restaurant & Bar in Johnstone was crowned Best Curry Establishment, while Amaretto Italian Kitchen & Bar in Bridge of Weir picked up Outstanding Achievement in the Best Italian Establishment category.

The River Inn in Crosslee also brought home the title of Best Scottish Cuisine, highlighting its reputation for traditional dishes with a modern twist.

A spokesperson for The River Inn said: “This incredible honour is a true reflection of the hard work, dedication, and creativity of our fantastic team, who consistently go above and beyond to highlight the very best of Scotland’s culinary delights.

“A huge thank you to our devoted staff, loyal patrons, and everyone who has supported us along the way.

“Let’s not forget the other winners from the evening! It’s great to see so many establishments being recognised.

Now in its 11th year, the Food Awards Scotland are organised by Oceanic Awards and shine a spotlight on the dedication, talent, and entrepreneurial spirit of restaurant owners and teams across the country who work tirelessly to deliver exceptional service and memorable experiences.
