PACE brings Snow White to the stage at Paisley Arts Centre

🗓 13/09/2025

Paisley’s traditional festive pantomime returns this winter with a brand-new production of Snow White at the recently refurbished Paisley Arts Centre.
The show, produced by PACE Theatre Company, will run from Wednesday 26th November 2025 until Monday 5th January 2026 and promises a seasonal treat for all the family.
The classic story follows Snow White, who is cast out into the woods on her 18th birthday by the jealous queen. She finds shelter with seven of the silliest miners to ever swing a pickaxe – but danger still lurks, as the Evil Queen plans to trick her with a poisoned apple. With laughter, chaos and music at every turn, the question is: who will be the one to break the spell?
Heading up the professional cast are familiar faces Chris Alexander, returning as dame, and comic favourite Alan Orr. They will be joined by Chiara Sparkes in the title role, Bailey Newsome as Prince Barry and Joanne McGuiness as the Evil Queen.
The show is written and directed by Andy McGregor, who has been behind PACE’s pantomimes since 2019, including Lost in Pantoland, Cinderella and last year’s Aladdin. Designs will once again be created by Fraser Lappin, who has previously worked on Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella and Aladdin.
Four teams of young actors from PACE’s youth theatre will also take to the stage alongside the professional cast.
Artistic Director Jenni Mason said: “It’s a pleasure to announce that this year’s panto will be a Snow White, which will feature PACE’s trademark blend of original music, audience participation, comedy, and traditional family fun. Our aim is to offer an entertaining and affordable way for families and friends to celebrate the festivities together, with something for everyone to enjoy. It was an absolute joy to be back at Paisley Arts Centre last year, the traditional home of the PACE panto, and we can’t wait to return this Christmas.”
With a reputation for producing some of Scotland’s best pantomimes and attracting audiences of more than 10,000 each festive season, PACE promises that Snow White will be a show to remember.
